Contagious Tips On Self Development For Beginners

Self development programs - Why and when do you consider self development programs?
If you do a Google search, there are more than 300 millions links.
A good way to start is to have an overview of the top 100 experts in this field. From there, you can then zoom in to one or more authors that you can easily connect with.
This way, you will save time and money.

The latest fad is 'thesecret' movie. However, a word of caution is that if you are a beginner in self development, you may find the tools in 'thesecret' to be ineffective.
The reason is simple. Babies don't walk straight away. They learn to crawl first.
Likewise, although it is easy to understand about the tools in 'thesecret', it is quite difficult to apply the tools. To get the results, the processes in 'thesecret' are more intangible than tangible.
However, if you can connect with tools in 'thesecret', I congratulate you.

Hence it is good to start with something simple and tangible. Take baby steps in your journey and record the success or achievements as you progress.
Another aspect you need to consider is knowing your strengths and weaknesses. There's five categories that all of us will go through in our lives at different stages...emotional, career/finance, relationship, spiritual, physical/health.
You will realize later (unfortunately much later in life) that if you are not balanced in each of the categories, you life will not be a pleasant one.
For each of the categories, just rate yourself as 1 (as weak) and 5 (as strong).
For those areas that you are weak, seek out those gurus that are experts in the specific area.

A common mistake for beginners is that after learning the skills, they will give up after a while if the skills are not helping them.
If you want to build muscles, do you go to the gym one time or do you go regularly?
Likewise, you have to give yourself some time. Constantly think about the end result. This will help to keep you going.
There is a saying...'many people know what to do but few people do what they know'.

Good luck.
